Mike Snee, Executive Director
College Hockey Inc.

A talented hockey executive with experience in amateur hockey and the NHL, Mike Snee was named College Hockey, Inc.’s Executive Director on Aug. 28, 2012. In this role he guides College Hockey Inc.’s marketing efforts to promote Division I men’s college hockey and its work to help grow the number of institutions offering the sport.

Snee is a member of the USA Hockey Board of Directors and serves on USA Hockey’s Junior Council. He is also a member of the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Board of Directors.

Snee joined College Hockey Inc. from Minnesota Hockey, where he spent four years as the Executive Director. During Snee’s tenure with Minnesota Hockey he led a multi-platform strategic plan to ensure the long-term growth of the sport in Minnesota. He led the organization’s branding and communications efforts and nearly tripled corporate sponsorship revenue in just four years. He also served as a member of the USA Hockey Marketing Committee.

Prior to joining Minnesota Hockey, Snee spent nine years with Minnesota Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild. He served stints as Director of Corporate Sales and Director of Ticket Sales and worked closely with college hockey as the Xcel Energy Center hosted the annual WCHA Final Five and the 2002 NCAA Frozen Four.

Snee led one of the most successful sponsorship groups in the NHL and helped spearhead the creation and execution of Hockey Day in Minnesota in 2007, a state-wide celebration of the game. Previously he led the initial ticket sales efforts for the expansion Wild, which produced a season-ticket base of 16,000.

Snee, a 1991 graduate of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., started his sports business career as an intern with the Minnesota North Stars and also worked for the NBA’s Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Moose of the now-defunct International Hockey League.

Ian Pulver founded Pulver Sports Inc in September 2006. Over time Pulver Sports Inc evolved into The Will Sports Group. Since that time The Will Sports Group has become a major presence in the hockey industry representing and advising some of the best Players in the world including Tyler Seguin, Mike Cammalleri, Olli Jokinen, Scott Gomez, Nail Yakupov and others.

Prior to forming Pulver Sports, Ian Pulver worked as a labour attorney at the NHLPA for 15 years. During his tenure at the NHLPA, Pulver participated in the negotiation drafting and enforcement of the 1992 (Strike),1994 (Lockout) and the 2004 (Lockout) NHL Collective Bargaining Agreements. Pulver was primarily responsible for developing marketplace programs during which the Average League Salary increased from $271,000 to $1,800,000. Pulver provided expert advice to Players and Agents on individual contract negotiations. He was responsible, on an annual basis, to be aware of all Salary Arbitration filings, settlements and hearings. Over time he established legal precedents and marketplace benchmarks that are relied upon by Players of all types. On the grievance arbitration front, Pulver participated in the evaluation of the merits of every labour-related grievance or issue that was brought to the attention of the NHLPA from 1990 to 2006 and was part of a legal team that successfully argued important precedent-setting cases that benefited all Players. (Listing of decisions available upon request). He was involved in reaching various settlement agreements with NHL and appeared as an NHLPA expert witness in several hearings.

Pulver was the NHLPA’s primary contact person interacting with Players between 1991 and 2006.

Pulver has been recognized on several occasions by The Hockey News as one of the most influential people in hockey. Pulver from time to time makes appearances on sports radio shows to address major issues in the sports world.

Ian’s experience is unparalleled in the industry. He resides in Toronto with his wife and three children.

Dr. Chandler has been a Faculty member in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Windsor since 1999, specializing in sport, exercise and performance psychology. In addition to her teaching and research (specializing in visualization and mental skills training), she has her own consulting business, The Mental Link, in which she works with individuals striving to enhance their sport performance through the use of mental training.

Through The Mental Link, she has counseled both able-bodied athletes and athletes with a disability from the recreational through to the Olympic level.  In this respect, Krista traveled to Beijing in September 2008 with the Canadian Paralympic Boccia and Swimming teams and staged with the Canadian Paralympic Swim team prior to the London 2012 Games.  She has traveled with sport teams to the Para Pan American Games, World Championships and various International Competitions. Other notable athletes with whom she has worked include Canadian Olympic Ice Dancing team, world champion boxer and OHL Windsor Spitfires Organization.

 As both an athlete and a coaching professional, Dr. Chandler recognizes the importance of staying well informed of new developments in research and consulting techniques.  In this respect, Krista has an active research program to ensure that the individuals with whom she works are able to use every tool possible to achieve peak performance.

Dr. Novetsky focuses on the importance of growth mindset, self-image, mindfulness, emotional control, relaxation, imagery, motivation, confidence, setting proper goals, routines and developing a mental workout program to prepare off the field of play and create competition plans to sustain focus and respond to adversity during practice and competition.

Dr. Novetsky has a PhD in Education, a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He has worked as a School Psychologist for over 20 years, a Sport & Performance Psychology Coach for 13 years, travel and high school baseball coach for 9 years and was an All-Conference Division-1 pitcher at the University of Detroit.
