Show Notes and Resources

Coach Andy leads off this podcast with a few ‘shoot the shit’ points before getting into an extended discussion on the benefits of playing multiple sports as an athlete. He and Eric discuss these points from both the physical and mental side of development, especially in the early years.

From here, they move on to answer a few listener questions about self-promotion as athletes. They start with a question about sending video footage or ‘highlights’ to coaches/schools in the hopes of getting noticed. Coach Andy and Eric swap points about what constitutes a ‘good’ promotion package, and detail the do’s and don’ts of this process.

This branches into a follow up question covering athletes who feel they are just as good as some of their teammates/competition, but are failing to get the same level of recognition. The boys discuss how to honestly assess your game, the importance of honesty with yourself, what metrics you should use to gauge how ‘good’ you are, moving to chase opportunity, and more!
