3on3 Spring Development League – House League @ Tecumseh [ house ]

April 7, 2018

Register

Purpose
The program is designed for house league/recreation level hockey players to aid in skill development. Sessions will feature a variety of skill enhancement drills and stations focused on skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting. The 2nd half of each session will be dedicated to cross ice games that will concentrate on both individual skill and team play development in a fun relaxed environment.

The key element to the programs is the 3on3/4on4 games, which focus on improving skating, passing, puck control, offensive/defensive awareness, endurance and much more. The small area games will create a high tempo where all decisions need to be made at a faster rate then normal full ice hockey. Players touch the puck more, pass and receive passes more, defend more, shoot more, learn to stick handle in tight areas and turn and pivot at a much higher frequency. With lots opportunity to touch the puck there is plenty of scoring chances which is great for shooters and goalies.

Most importantly it is FUN and players are building SKILL and CONFIDENCE naturally.
